oPTION ONE

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING WITH CLIFF CHURCHILL

 

Student must be on Medicaid to receive therapy (funding reasons.)

 

Cliff works with students in room 513 (covered play area) usually during the child’s related arts block. 

 

The purpose of the therapy is for intense and severe issues only.

 

option two

GROUP COUNSELING WITH

MARTA AND CLIFF

 

Examples of topics covered: anger management, social skills, attention skills, organizational skills, study skills, test taking skills, self-esteem and problem solving.

Open to any SWE student – Teachers usually identify need.

Meets during related arts block for at least 8 weeks (Fall and Spring sessions)

option three

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING WITH

GAIL HIGGINS - HOSPICE

 

Individual counseling for students dealing with the near death or death of a family member (parent, sibling, grandparent)

Gail Higgins comes to SWE and meets with students once a week for 6 weeks during the student’s related arts block.

The students will be summoned to the front office for counseling.

Services open to any SWE student.

GROUP COUNSELING WITH

Miss Bonnie– HIGH HOPES

 

For students whose parents are divorced or separated (Step families as well.) Also for children who are separated from parents who may be incarcerated or out of state.

 

Open to any SWE Student.

 

Meets during related arts block on Fridays only for approximately 8-10 weeks. (Fall and Spring Sessions). Miss Bonnie’s classroom is in room 513.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING WITH

MARTA CARLSON

 

This service is for students who are in crisis and who are unable to see Mr. Cliff because of insurance issues.

 

Open to any SWE student.

 

Counseling services provided in Mrs. Carlson’s office. 

 

 

 

option six

CLASSROOM GUIDANCE WITH

MARTA CARLSON

 

For all SWE students.

Marta will come into the classroom and teach lessons on any number of topics such as: Character Counts, peer issues, conflict resolution, organization (self management), social skills, etc.
