SeaWind Elementary welcomes Mr. Green back to its campus where he started his administrative career in 1995. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and as a young child moved to New Jersey. He attended Trenton State College (now College of New Jersey) for his undergraduate studies. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education in 1978. Mr. Green began his teaching career in November of that year at Port Salerno Elementary School, teaching Physical Education. He spent the next 14 years at this position. He then served as a fourth grade teacher for the next three years. In 1983, he received his Master's Degree in Administration. As the county began to grow, new schools had to be built. In 1995, SeaWind Elementary was built, and he became the school's first Assistant Principal, with Delores Calloway serving as the Principal. In 1998, Mr. Green moved to Crystal Lake as their Assistant Principal. The next move came in 2001, when he moved back to Port Salerno to serve as Assistant Principal, where he stayed for the next five years. Mr. Green is excited to continue the fine standards that he began eleven years ago. Mr. Green is married to Phyllis, who is a fifth grade teacher at Palm City Elementary. He has two teenage children, who attend Martin County High School. He spends his spare time coaching his children's athletic teams, watching sports events, and tinkering with the latest trends in the world of technology. |
