Mr. Lawrence M. Green

Mr. Green began his administrative career in 1995, when SeaWind first open its doors. After brief stints at other district schools, he is extremely happy to return to SeaWind Elementary.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and as a young child moved to New Jersey.  He attended Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) for his undergraduate studies.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education in 1978.

Mr. Green began his teaching career in November of that year at Port Salerno Elementary School, teaching Physical Education.  He spent the next 14 years at this position.  He then served as a fourth grade teacher for the next three years.  In 1983, he received his Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision.  As the county began to grow, new schools had to be built.  In 1995, SeaWind Elementary opened its doors and he became the school's first Assistant Principal, with Delores Calloway serving as the Principal.  In 1998, Mr. Green moved to Crystal Lake Elementary as their Assistant Principal.  The next move came in 2001, when he moved back to Port Salerno Elementary to serve as the Assistant Principal, where he stayed for the next five years.  Mr. Green is excited to continue the fine standards that he began many years ago.

Mr. Green is married to Phyllis, who is a fifth grade teacher at Palm City Elementary.  He has two children, one who attends Martin County High School, while the other attends University of Central Florida.  He spends his spare time watching sports events, reading educational publications and tinkering with the latest trends in the world of technology.
